Homecoming Mix: 2011 Edition

Friends of Cville Niche,

For a fleeting few weeks in October, the Grounds of the University are once again cast in the annual vermilion and orange spread of leaves. Crisp, cloudless nights make a return. The Lawn prepares for the imminent arrival of little goblins, witches, and Batmans. And, for one short weekend mid-month, the young alumni of the University re-inhabit what they once called home for four special years.

They let the pangs of nostalgia wash over them as the Chapel bells chime, the Corner flaunts her new establishments (and her established ones), and the Lawn’s trees don their brightest orange against the blue sky on game day.

So, if you’re in Cville this weekend, kick back and relax to some new (and old) tunes. And if you’re not, well, let’s all hope you can make the homage trip sometime soon.
